Summer Programs

Each summer, Riverzedge Arts expands it outreach with its Summer of Arts and Service program that employs Woonsocket teens in the creation of large-scale public art or public service projects. These vary from year to year and are dependent on funding partners.

In 2014, youth designed, fabricated, and installed a new vision for the front of the Woonsocket High School, including custom benches and bike racks. The project transformed the front entrance area into a lush, welcoming space that feels much like a park. Previous projects have included large murals and other arts-oriented work, always with an aspect of community service.
