October 19th, Providence, RI—Hosted by The Wurks Gallery, Riverzedge Arts launches its first annual gallery of youth artwork this October.
The show, titled Art Works, features both individual and collaborative projects across a wide range of media, giving teens a chance to break away from client-driven work and explore their individual creativity. Centering the incredible talent and industry-standard skills of teens in the Arts Education and Training (AET) program, the show demonstrates the myriad ways teens at Riverzedge Arts put the arts to work for their clients and communities.
The show’s inaugural theme focuses on dreams, nightmares, fantasies, and the ways these phantasmagoria can shape new futures for the young artists and their communities. Collectively, Art Works expresses that turning our values into creative action can build more equitable and sustainable futures for the people and communities we love.
